The Felicity by Home Invest Belgium
A fully integrated security system for the repurposing project
The Felicity is an example of sustainable repurposing by Home Invest Belgium. A former industrial site in Laeken was transformed into residential housing units.
This type of redevelopment is not the first for Home Invest Belgium, which already has a number of such projects to its name. Building on these successes, and focused on promoting sustainable development, the circular economy is one of the pillars of Home Invest’s business philosophy.
The Felicity was Home Invest Belgium’s first project to rely on DNCS for security applications.
In response to a carefully and detailed written specification, DNCS developed a comprehensive proposal for integrated security at The Felicity.
So we provided a Genetec camera system in the central halls, basement, garage, at the entrance and in the beautiful common courtyard.
To manage access to the different types of spaces (main entrance, elevators, residential units, etc.), the Nedap Aeos physical access control system was chosen. This is a flexible and open system ideally suited for buildings with different types of functions and many users.
Access control was paired with 2N video parlophony with a scroll screen. We provided each housing unit with an indoor station.
All of the building was equipped with fire detection, according to legal standards.
We also installed a local data network for local applications.
All of these security applications can be managed centrally and user-friendly via a facility cloud network.
The Felicity was our first completed project for Home Invest. This was followed by several more projects. In the future, many wonderful projects will be realized together.
Home Invest also chose this standardized solution integrated into their own management platform in these subsequent projects. This ensures optimal TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) throughout the life cycle of the building.
